Hi there!
My name is Mehmet Akbulut and I enjoy working on creative projects. I worked on many different things from SuperDraco engines at SpaceX to MEMS gimbal mirrors at Boston University. All of which were cutting-edge in their respective fields and required cross-disciplinary approaches. I currently hold a Mechanical Engineering degree with an Aerospace Engineering concentration from Boston University. I have constantly found myself developing the system architecture or the underlying electronics and software wherever I go, involving everything from Finite Element Analysis to Linux Server Administration. Therefore I like to describe myself as an Engineer and Developer first and foremost.
If you are interested in my work and have further questions, feel free to reach out to me at mehmet@akbulut.io and I’ll do my best to respond in a timely fashion!
All of the projects listed on this website can be replicated with or without modification and educationally or commercially. I only ask that you give credit where due. Keep in mind that this website is not meant to be a step by step guide. If you decide to replicate some of the projects on this website, you can not hold me liable for whatever damages that may result from it. These are all highly complex projects often requiring possibly hazardous operations including but not limited to machining and soldering. Mistakes can be fatal when dealing with mechanical, electrical and heat hazards, all of which are present in most of these projects. If you are unsure about what you are doing, talk to someone who is experienced. I’m here to merely share what I have done.
Sincerely,
Mehmet Akbulut
